Compromise
A huge big thank you from all on Compromise for your support and daily updates and all your hard work. Really appreciated.
We arrived yesterday after a duel with Rocket to the end. A very exciting last 30 minutes. Unfortunately the good cruising boat Compromise just couldn’t compete with the racing boat in a last minute race to the finish. They pipped us to the finish by only 3 minutes. They do apparently all hate the name Compromise as they all kept on hearing” Compromise is still ahead”. We all had a couple of drinks together after customs and immigration and sure we going to have some good days ahead. We are very proud of our 9 days and 53 minute race. Beat both of Rob’s previous races to the Island. Warm regards and best wishes from all aboard Compromise

Anastasia
Had a good night run with bag, wind has dropped but still managing 6kts. Spoke with Deon on Serendipity, they ok, lost their spinnaker pole. Also have intermittent fault with their AIS, which is why we can’t always see them. Got fishing lines out so hoping for a tuna or dorado. We are in good spirits with the end so close, looking forward to finish & respite on the island. Will keep the bag up till we round the heads. Is pulling us along nicely with flat seas & flaky winds. I made macaroni cheese for dinner, oven worked well. Winds were east & sea flat, so kept our standard watch. Was a great night, I had the dawn watch (4-6) and was stunning with the moon setting off the bow & the sun rising behind us. Have renamed the autopilot ‘Marelize’ as in ‘my fok Marelize’ as it has similar Directional stability. Need to strip it down & see where the problem is, think it is the rudder sensor. We expect to get in early hours of tomorrow morning, hopefully wind holds. Very chuffed to be coming in at under 11 days! Was our hoped for target.
