We are thrilled to welcome Flica, Rijk Kuttel’s highly competitive J/99, back to the Cape to St Helena Race as our second confirmed entry.
Flica certainly made her mark in the 2024 edition, taking overall honours after what can only be described as an incredibly close battle that went right down to the final day. Even more impressive, the 2024 Cape to St Helena was Flica’s first ocean race.
Since then, Flica has continued to prove herself as a fiercely competitive boat across both inshore and offshore racing. Whilst the final crew line-up is still to be confirmed, we do know that Rijk Kuttel and Chris Garratt will once again be on board. This experienced duo have covered many miles together, including three Cape2Rio Races and the previous Cape to St Helena Race.
The Race Committee is absolutely delighted to have Flica returning to defend her title. The big question is… can they do the double?
One thing is certain: with Flica back on the start line, the 2027 Cape to St Helena Race just got even more exciting!
