Anastasia is a Lavranos 39 cruising sloop completed by Hans Mayer in 2002 and launched on the Vaal dam. She moved to Cape Town in 2012 on Hans’s retirement, and was bought by Mike Metelerkamp in 2017 with a view to liveaboard cruising in the future. Hans has maintained a strong involvement with Mike in the modification of the boat for short handed cruising and long term living aboard, and still sails with us. This will be her first long ocean passage, and she is raring to go!
She will be skippered by Mike Metelerkamp with able help from Ivan Shamley, Gavin Bingham and Roger James, and we will sail her back to Cape Town after the prize giving.
